About Us

The Fingal County Childcare Committee was established in 2001 as one of the 33 County/City Childcare Committees that exist throughout the country, FCCC was formed to act in an advisory capacity to all childcare services in Fingal county, providing advice, information and assistance on a wide variety of topics in the childcare field.

The Vision of FCCC is:
"To ensure high quality childcare that is accessible and affordable to all in the Fingal area"

The Mission of FCCC is:
"To develop a Strategic Plan for co-ordinated childcare provision in Fingal and ensure its implementation" The Strategic Objectives of the County Childcare Committees are to:

•Develop a targeted support strategy for equality, diversity and social inclusion.
•Maintain and build the local childcare capacity.
•Develop initiatives targeted at the support and inclusion of Childminders.
•Promote and develop quality standards for Fingal.
•Increase opportunities for learning and information exchange amongst the childcare sector.
•Enhance and develop co-ordination.
•Lever and attract additional resources in implementing the strategy
•Develop local childcare networks.
•Identify training needs of childcare providers.
•Implement the above strategic objectives in an appropriate and effective manner in Fingal.
